24KT YEAR OF THE RABBIT figurine

CATHAY BANK has been offering a 24kt gold-plated animal figurine to celebrate the Chinese New Year for many years. I interviewed a branch manager in the spring of 2023 and confirmed some details.
In 2023, a minimum CD account deposit of US$50,000 was required in order to earn a figurine.
This is the 2011 YEAR OF THE RABBIT figurine. It comes in its original clear plexiglass case. Each years figurines were only available for the 4 weeks prior to the New Year. Each bank branch had a limited number of figurines available to their customers. Production estimates are 3500-7000 units per individual year.
